Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
RCIA, or the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, is the process through which adults are welcomed into the Catholic Church. It is designed for individuals who have not been baptized, those from other Christian denominations seeking to become Catholic, or baptized Catholics who wish to complete their Sacraments of Initiation (First Communion and Confirmation). RCIA involves a period of spiritual formation, education, and discernment, during which participants learn about Catholic teachings, Scripture, the sacraments, and the Church’s traditions. The process typically includes weekly sessions, prayer, and reflection, culminating in the reception of the sacraments at the Easter Vigil. Adult Faith Formation
